I Like Big Quilt Blocks and I Cannot Lie
I love a big quilt block. So of course when I found the book ‘Quilt Big’ by Jemima Flendt, I was excited. Truth be told I didn’t find the book myself; I was at a quilt retreat and someone shared the book with me. I went straight to Amazon and purchased it!
When you make big blocks, your quilt comes together more quickly. I love to take small blocks and super size them - like you would with some McDonald’s fries.
I started with a fat quarter bundle of Starberry Fabric from Moda by Corey Yoder.

The block is rather simple, there are 4 squares - one in each corner - I used one of the low volume fat quarters to make those.

The half square triangle blocks make up the star.

Once the 6 Star Blocks are done, we will add the low volume fabric in between the star squares. That makes the quilt get bigger faster.
